Dental
The goal of the Dental department is to offer care for optimal oral health through comprehensive and preventative care.
The department provides the following services: complete exams; emergency exams; adult and child prophy; cleanings and fluoride treatment; composite, amalgam and tooth-colored fillings; deep scaling; periodontal therapy; root planning; sealants; stainless steel crowns and nitrous oxide sedation (both for children only) and extractions. The department has five full-time dentists to provide the best care to you and your family.
The department can diagnose a patient’s dental needs with greater accuracy with its digital x-ray and electronic medical records system.
Dental services are available at the main office location, MidTown and in Nowata during regular office hours.

Diagnostic Services
Laboratory
An onsite laboratory provides the diagnostic services. The Joint Commission has certified the moderate complex level clinical laboratory at Morton.
The laboratory offers clinical testing in the following areas: complete blood count (CBC), comprehensive metabolic panel, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), hemoglobin A1c, hematology, H pylori, lipid panel, prothrombin (PT/INR), microalbumin, rheumatoid factors (RF), urinalysis, waived testing, routine chemistry and general immunology among other tests. Reference lab testing is available through Morton and a private carrier.
At the satellite locations, the following services are available: urine pregnancy, urine dipstick, blood glucose, rapid flu (A & B) and rapid strep.

Mammography and Radiology
To screen for diseases and to provide the proper diagnosis of a disease, the Mammography and Radiology department offers outpatient x-rays and screening mammograms.

Medical Records
The Medical Records department provides the highest protection of patient health information under the HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) Privacy Rule.
It uses electronic medical records technology to record and to store accurate and up-to-date medical information. The EMR process permits accessibility and transferability of information to the patient and the health care provider.

Optometry
The Optometry department is a comprehensive eye examination office. It offers the following list of procedures and services: retinal examinations (including blepharitis, chalazion, diabetic, hordeolum management and treatment, hypertensive dilated and retinal dilated, pediatric, and routine); treatment (for glaucoma, ocular allergy, bacterial/fungal/viral infections, uveitis (inflammatory eye disease), dry eye syndrome); cataract evaluation; color vision testing, foreign body removal; geriatric eye care; intraocular pressure testing; lacrimal tear evaluation and lacrimal plug insertion; macular degeneration; ocular trauma; pupils and visual field evaluations; refractions (prism evaluation for palsies and contact lens evaluation); visual acuity testing among other procedures. Surgical excisions are to be added soon.
The optometry department provides high quality vision care services. The department personnel work together to assure accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans for every patient.

Pharmacy
The Pharmacy accepts Medicaid, Medicare D and Soonercare. A drug formulary, special programs for the homeless population, low income and cash patient’s services are available for qualified patients. Labeling is available in English and Spanish.
The hours of operation of the Pharmacy are the following: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9a.m.-5:30p.m.; Tuesday, 9a.m.-6p.m.; and Thursday, 12p.m.-5:30p.m.

Women’s Health
Women’s Health provides comprehensive women’s healthcare with compassion. Our goal is to provide quality, affordable wellness care, health promotion, and education for all of our patients.

Community, Health Education and Outreach
The Community, Health Education and Outreach department offers health education classes onsite and at a variety of locations offsite. The health care topics addressed are in the area of diabetes, smoking cessation and Hepatitis C among other topics. Health screenings and information on other health care related subjects are made available at the main location, health fairs and community events.
The department through health educators, clinical staff and independent resources informs the community of the services offered and how to register for medical treatment at Morton. Additionally, the department publishes regularly an organizational newsletter for distribution to the community regarding its participation in various health fairs and community events.

On-Site Department of Human Services Office and WIC Services
The WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a supplemental nutrition program. The WIC program was enacted by the federal government because substantial numbers of pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants, and young children from families with inadequate income are at special risk with respect to their physical and mental health by reason of inadequate nutrition or health care, or both.
The department provides the following services:
- Specific supplemental foods for good health and nutrition during critical times of growth and development. WIC provides foods that supply calcium, protein, iron and Vitamins A, D and C. Food packages for children and women also provides whole grain foods and fresh/frozen fruits and vegetables, and
- Free nutrition education and breastfeeding education for participants, and
- Breast pumps to mothers who qualify, and
- Referrals to additional health and social services
Eligibility requirements:
Who is eligible for WIC Services?
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or have recently given birth, and
- Infants, and
- Children, up to the age of 5 years old
Who may apply for an infant or a child?
A parent, guardian, proxy or foster parent
How to qualify?
- Must live in the state of Oklahoma, and
- Have a family income within the program limits. If you receive income from a job, then you may still qualify, and
- Must provide a proof of identification, income and address, and
- You may be eligible for WIC if you receive Medicaid, SNAP or TANF benefits.
Appointments are available. Evening appointments on Tuesdays are available for certification, nutrition classes and breastfeeding classes.

Transportation Services
The Transportation Services department assists Morton’s patients with safe and dependable services. The goal is to provide reliable transportation to a patient’s health care appointments. Also, the services provide transportation to senior nutrition sites and to social service agencies in the Tulsa area.
The elderly, disabled and wheel chair patients, WIC mothers and others are eligible to receive transportation services.
