Syeachia N. Dennis, M.D., MA
Dr. Dennis specializes in family medicine and women’s health.
She is board certified in family medicine. Additionally, she has certifications in Implanon insertion and removal, Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics and Basic Cardiac Life Support. In addition to Oklahoma, she is licensed to practice in Illinois.
She is a member of American Association of Family Physicians, American Medical Association and the National Medical Association.
She is a graduate of the Loyola (Ill.) Stritch School of Medicine and Southern Illinois University and an undergraduate from Wellesley College. Dr. Dennis performed her residency at the West Suburban Family Medicine Program (Oak Park, Ill.) |

Stephen K. Martin, D.O.
Dr. Martin is the family practice provider at the Nowata Family Health Center location.
Before coming to Morton, Dr. Martin was medical provider at the Indian Health Care Resource Center, in private practice with the Turley Family Clinic, and an adjunct clinical faculty member with the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He has authored or co-authored many papers and publications. His published works have addressed the topics of diabetes, hypertension, lung disease, and rural and suburban settings among other subjects.
He is a graduate of the Kansas City (Mo.) College of Osteopathic Medicine and an undergraduate of Southern Methodist University. Dr. Martin completed his residency at the Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital in Tulsa.

Asim Maqsood, M.D.
Dr. Maqsood is in the Family Practice department at Morton.
He is board certified from the American Board of Family Medicine, Basic/Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Life Support for Obstetrics and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support. Dr. Maqsood is licensed to practice in Oklahoma and Kentucky.
Dr. Maqsood was a family practice physician at the Medical Point of Care (Liberty, Ky.) prior to joining Morton’s staff.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America.
He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College Of Medicine and an undergraduate of the King Edward Medical College. He finished his internship at the Mayo Hospital (Lahore, Pakistan).

Laurie A. McLemore, M.D., MA
Dr. McLemore is the family practice physician at the East Tulsa Family Health Center location. She previously served in the same position at the Nowata Family Health Center.
She is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice, Association of American Indian Physicians and the American Medical Association. In addition to Oklahoma, she is licensed to practice in Missouri and Tennessee.
Prior to joining Morton, Dr. McLemore was a family practice physician at Warren Clinic-St. Francis Health System and an adjunct clinical professor at the Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (Tenn.).
She is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Medicine, University of Kansas, and Haskell Indian Junior College. Dr. McLemore performed her residency at the Trinity Lutheran Hospital (Kansas City, Mo.) |

Amy Puls, C.S.P, C.N.S.C., L.D., R.D.
Puls’ area of practice involves pediatric and adult nutrition and feeding disorders.
She is board certified as a specialist in pediatric nutrition (C.S.P.), nutrition support clinician (pediatric and adult) (C.N.S.C.), a licensed dietician (L.D.) and a registered dietician (R.D.).
Puls is a member of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, American Diabetic Association, Oklahoma Diabetic Association, Tulsa Dietetic Association and the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group.
She is a graduate of Colorado State University. |

Nicole Smith, M.D.
Dr. Smith is in pediatrics at Morton’s main location. She previously worked at Planned Parenthood as a locum pediatrician.
She has certifications as a basic life support provider, pediatric advanced life support and neonatal resuscitation.
Dr. Smith is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Southern Medical Association.
She is a graduate of the St. Matthews School of Medicine and an undergraduate of Northeastern State University and Tulsa Community College. Dr. Smith finished her residency at the University of Oklahoma Pediatric Residency program. |

Runako Whittaker, M.D.
Dr. Whittaker is a pediatrician in the Family Practice department. Providing comprehensive primary pediatric care to infants, children and adolescents, she has been with Morton since 2003.
She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Oklahoma State Medical Association, Tulsa Black Healthcare Alliance and the Tulsa County Medical Society.
She is a graduate of the University of California (San Francisco) School of Medicine and an undergraduate of Clark Atlanta University. Dr. Whittaker completed her residency at the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine (Fresno, Calif.) and the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine (Tulsa). |

Christopher Puls, M.D.
Dr. Puls specializes in behavioral and mental health services. He is director of the Behavioral and Health Services department at Morton.
He is board certified in general psychiatry, and in child and adolescent psychiatry. He is a fellow from the Child Psychiatry department at the University of Colorado.
He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Oklahoma Psychiatric Association.
He is a graduate of the St. Louis School of Medicine and an undergraduate of Indiana University. Dr. Puls completed his residency at Washington University (St. Louis, Mo.).
