INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
It is Morton Comprehensive Health Services, Inc.’s intent that, depending on operational needs, employees will make every possible effort to report to work. In the event of severe inclement weather or very difficult traveling conditions, it may be necessary or appropriate to delay opening, fail to open or to close early. Under catastrophic weather conditions, a skeleton crew may be established to cover urgent operational needs.
The COO, with the approval of the CEO, will make the decision on whether the clinic will be open or closed. If the clinic is closed a message about the closure will be placed on the employee line: (918) 295-9300 and on the clinic’s main number by 6:00 am of that morning and or Morton’s website.
If the clinic is closed Morton’s employees will receive weather pay. If the clinic is open and an employee does not report to work they must use PTO pay or be unpaid.
The authority to adjust facility schedules and to compensate non-worked hours rests solely with the Chief Executive Officer.
